Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church

Susan, Tate and I are REALLY excited about becoming a part of your Wallace Memorial “Church Family!”

My #1 priority the next few weeks in addition to sharing the joy of God’s Word and Spirit with you, is to get to know you. I would like to have a personal, private and confidential conversation with all our elected leaders. That could take place in your home, the church office, the parsonage or any other place you choose.  The following 5 questions will guide our conversation:

1. How did you come to accept Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord?

2. What do you see are your gifts and role(s) here at Wallace Memorial?

3. What are the best/most exciting things happening here now?

4. What is the one thing (ministry, program, mission, issue, etc.) happening now that you feel warrants the most attention, as in expansion or refreshment?

5. What one thing would you like to see unfold in the next six months?

Of course you may ask me questions about my faith, experience and vision for our future together here at Wallace Memorial.

Next “Cottage Meetings”, small groups of 6-8 folks meeting in homes, the parsonage or the church to provide an opportunity for all of us to discuss and respond in word and writing to questions 3, 4 and 5. This process will last 90 minutes. Times will be scheduled during the day and evening Tuesdays, and Sundays after worship. Our time will include fellowship (food and fun), worship and prayer and time to discuss, respond and record your anonymous written input. That data will be gathered formatted and presented n a PowerPoint at a covered dish luncheon immediately after worship when the process is completed this Fall.

Time to get EXCITED and INTENTIONAL about the great things God will be doing among us and through us! Time to “CONNECT-GROW-SHARE!”

+SHALOM! (God’s Peace and Prosperity to you in every area of your life)
